In 1967, Attorneys Joe Barrs and John Williamson founded a law firm dedicated to representing injured and disabled individuals. In 1990, with the addition of Vicki Stolberg and Byron Townsend, that firm became known as Barrs, Williamson, Stolberg & Townsend, PA. Ten years ago, the firm shortened it’s name to Stolberg & Townsend, PA, and is proud to continue the tradition of it’s founding members..

Ms. Stolberg, a Florida native, graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1981, and joined Barrs, Williamson right out of law school. She is responsible for firm management in addition to handling active cases in all of the firm’s practice areas. She is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Workers’ Compensation, a distinction held by less than 25 lawyers in Tampa.
Partner Byron Townsend, a life-long Tampa resident, graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, and has experience as a former insurance company and malpractice defense attorney. He has a unique insight and approach to helping clients negotiate claims against insurance companies. He has been Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Workers’ compensation since 1991, and handles cases in all of the firm’s practice areas.
